簡介：
2002年到美國念書之前，作者尚未了解什麼是 Piano Pedagogy（鋼琴教學法）。感謝鋼琴指導教授的建議，她因此修習了鋼琴教學法碩士學位，開啟了對這個領域的視野。豐富的學習資源讓她接觸了許多專門為鋼琴教學所創作的教材，特別是美國及加拿大的作曲家，他們的新穎理念與教材設計持續影響著作者。

2020年，在忙碌的工作之餘，作者實現了多年以來的心願——創作以鋼琴教學為主的作品。結合學生時期的作曲基礎與在美國所學的專業，這本鋼琴小品集因此誕生。適合程度大約對應英國皇家音樂檢定1到2級、美國與加拿大分級的 late elementary 到 early intermediate 等級，適合作為 Czerny Op.599（中段之後）或 Burgmüller Op.100（前段）的銜接教材。

本書特別標示了詳細的指法與樂句設計，希望幫助學生在學習鋼琴之初，就養成編曲與創作的習慣，老師也能根據學生的學習情況給予個別化指導。作者將這本書獻給引領她進入鋼琴教學領域的恩師 Dr. Reid Alexander（1949–2015），期盼作品能如同老師爽朗的個性，讓孩子們喜歡上彈鋼琴這件事。

作者介紹：
梁竹君（Chu-Chun Cindy Liang）博士畢業於美國伊利諾大學香檳分校，獲得鋼琴演奏博士學位及鋼琴演奏與鋼琴教學法雙碩士學位，亦為國立臺灣師範大學音樂學系學士。她是 D.S.室內樂坊與博亞表演藝術的創辦人暨音樂總監。

曾獲獎項包括：

  • 2007年美國第六屆 Mae and Irving Jurow 國際大鍵琴比賽第三名

  • 1997年臺灣大專成人組歌曲創作第一名

Introduction:
Before studying in the United States in 2002, the author did not fully understand the concept of Piano Pedagogy. Thanks to her piano professor’s guidance, she pursued a master’s degree in piano pedagogy, which opened the door to a whole new field. The rich resources at the university introduced her to many educational materials for piano, especially works by American and Canadian composers. Their innovative concepts and thoughtful teaching designs deeply influenced her work.

In 2020, amidst a busy professional life, the author finally realized her long-held dream: creating original piano teaching pieces. Combining her foundational skills in composition and her piano pedagogy knowledge, she crafted this collection for young learners. The pieces are designed for students at levels approximately equivalent to Grades 1-2 in ABRSM, or late elementary to early intermediate in the U.S. and Canadian grading systems, fitting well after Czerny Op.599 (mid-level) or early sections of Burgmüller Op.100.

This collection offers detailed fingerings and phrasing suggestions to cultivate students’ awareness of composition and editing from the very beginning of their piano learning journey. Teachers are encouraged to adapt the pieces based on each student's individual needs. The author dedicates this book to Dr. Reid Alexander (1949–2015), who introduced her to this field, with the hope that these works, like his personality, will inspire children to love piano.

Performance Tips:
Each piece is designed with clear fingerings, phrasing, and expressive markings to guide students in developing musicality and technique in tandem.

About the Author:
Chu-Chun Cindy Liang holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and dual Master’s degrees in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She earned her bachelor’s degree in music from National Taiwan Normal University. She is the founder and music director of D.S. Chamber Music and BoYa Performing Arts.

Her accolades include:

  • Third prize in the 6th Mae and Irving Jurow International Harpsichord Competition (2007, USA)

  • First prize in the Adult Category of the Taiwan University Songwriting Competition (1997, Taiwan)
